Heart Song – Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Heart Song - Squash Card

I have found so many wonderful challenge sites, but I guess my heart belongs to Outlawz.  Challenges are the absolute best way (after formal classes, etc.) to improve your cardmaking skills.  The best part, particularly for beginners, are the nice comments you receive from your fellow crafters and the Challenge Site Design Team Members.Sketch and Color Challenges help card makers master basic design and working with a color wheel (even if it is only in your head!)  Exposure to the work of card makers, at different levels of experience and creativity, eventually makes the novice a better crafter I am a novice card maker and I am learning a lot!  This is my first squash card.  I found a great video on YouTube and it took all of ten (10) minutes to learn this card style.  Here’s a look at the inside!

About Chana Malkah

I am a "bubbie" (translation: grandmother), clinical supervisor(pediatrics) and an avid cardmaker. I enjoy making stationery sets and giving them to family and friends. This blog is for those who are just starting to explore cardmaking and other papercrafting. I have been away from cardmaking for about five years and was astounded by all the exciting changes in the craft. When I started stamping back in 1998, I only worked with wood mounted rubber stamps, metal stencils, markers and embossing powders and ink. Now there is a whole world out there and I hope we can explore together. In just eleven short months, I have gone from being afraid of posting my work...to being invited to join two design teams and waiting to hear from two more! Pursue your Passion!
